Our key responsibility in the Office of Records & Registration is to serve our students the best possible way we can and to provide them with a continuously exceptional experience. This includes the process of preparing our undergraduate students for graduation. By educating and encouraging students to take the following steps, we hope their pathway towards graduation is a success!

ALL STUDENTS MUST APPLY TO GRADUATE.
GRADUATION APPLICATION DEADLINES ARE:
August Graduation -or- December Graduation: Must apply by February 1st
May Graduation: Must apply by September 15th

Graduation Application Fees:
Undergraduate $50
Undergraduate $50 PLUS $25 Late fee after first established deadline
Undergraduate $50 PLUS $50 Late fee after established deadline during semester of anticipated graduation
Once your application is processed, your status on your Degree Works will change to "GRADUATION STATUS: Graduation Application Received".
NOTE: Diploma orders are based on the information provided on your application. The name entered in "Diploma Name Selection" is the name that will appear on your diploma. It will be printed exactly how you enter it.
In preparation for meeting with your advisor and registering for your final term, a PRECLEAR REVIEW EMAIL will be sent by the Office of Records & Registration to all degree applicants with instructions to check Degree Works to ensure that all degree requirements will be met.
Once this email is sent to you from our office, your status on your Degree Works will change to "GRADUATION STATUS: PreClear Review".
The degree requirements that are “Still Needed” will need your attention to plan your course schedule accordingly.
“Still Needed” requirements can be resolved through registration for those courses, substitutions, and/or petitions, etc.
Please discuss with your advisor or student services best action if you are unsure.

A Graduation Term Check will be completed during your final semester, by the Office
of Records & Registration.
Once the Graduation Term Check is completed an email will be sent to you and to your
advisor from the Office of Records & Registration, stating whether you are on track
to graduate or if you have any pending issues that need to be resolved by graduation.
Once this email is sent to you and to your advisor from our office, your status on your Degree Works will change to "GRADUATION STATUS: Graduation Term Check".

In the Fall and Spring semesters degree candidates are cleared for graduation beginning the Thursday prior to the commencement ceremony, by the Office of Records & Registration.
In the summer, all August degree candidates are cleared the day of graduation.
Once all your final grades have been reported and you are successfully cleared for
graduation, your status on your Degree Works will be checked off and will state "GRADUATION STATUS:
Undergraduate Degree Awarded".
