    Weekday In-Person Visits

    • In-person sessions will include an Admissions presentation by an admissions counselor, followed by a student-led tour of campus.

    • Offered Mondays-Fridays at 10:30 am. and 2:30 p.m.

    Transfer Tuesdays 

    Transfer Tuesday information sessions are intended to simplify the transfer process and make for an easy transition to Winthrop University. These evening sessions provide students with information about the transfer application process, transfer credit policies, and available scholarships. Please note that we do not provide pre-evaluation of transfer credit.

    Arts Winthrop Take Over 

    The College of Visual & Performing Arts invites you to join us for a special "ArtsWinthrop" Take Over event. This event will allow prospective students interested in music, fine arts, design, theatre and dance the opportunity to connect with faculty and current students while also getting the full visit experience, including an Admissions presentation and campus tour. More details about the schedule of the events to follow registration.

    Description: Prospective STEM majors are invited for a hands-on day learning about Winthrop's STEM programs. This event includes lab tours, faculty and student panels, and a free lunch! The first 25 to register receive a FREE T-shirt! 

    Parents are welcome, but please note this will be a student-focused event. 
    This is first come, first served for the first 25 students registered. Free event with lunch and t-shirt provided.

    These events are only for prospective students interested in the following STEM Majors:

    • Computer Science
    • Cybersecurity
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Biochemistry
    • Environmental Science
    • Math

Spring 2024

    Spring Open House - March 2, 2024

    Join us for our Spring Open House created for all high school prospective students (seniors, juniors, and sophomores) to provide an in-depth view of academic and campus life at Winthrop University.  While on campus, you will have the opportunity to meet Winthrop faculty, staff, and students; explore your intended major; and tour our campus.

    The week leading up to Winthrop Day, we offer virtual events to encourage students to connect with student affairs and address their questions about the admissions process and student life at Winthrop.

    Winthrop Day - April 6, 2024

    Winthrop Day is all about celebrating our Admitted Eagles!  All 2024 admitted students can attend this celebration and learn more about life at Winthrop.  At this event, students and families can connect with current students, faculty, and staff.

    Spring First Look Friday - April 19, 2024

    First Look Friday provides a glimpse into the life of a Winthrop student. The visit includes a tour of campus, lunch in the cafeteria, and sitting in on a class.  Students also have opportunities to speak with current students, faculty, and their personal admissions counselor to learn more about the Winthrop experience.

    Multicultural Day

    Here at Winthrop University, we make sure all students feel welcome and comfortable. We celebrate cultural diversity, and our Office of Diversity & Student Engagement provides students with several avenues through which they can enhance their knowledge about other cultures and the diversity issues that individuals belonging to such cultures face in today's society. Join us and hear directly from our current Eagles about their Winthrop experience.
