Welcome to the Office of Accessibility
The Office of Accessibility (OA) provides accommodations and support services to students
with documented disabilities.
COVID-19 Updates
OA continues to operate during the campus closure, providing full services to Winthrop
students, faculty, and staff, as well as to the community. As the Remote Instruction
period continues through the first two weeks of the semester, OA will not be offering
walk-in or in-person appointments. All appointments will be either via phone or virtually. Read more COVID-19 Updates.
Staff Availability for Students
- OA staff will be able to register students via Zoom, phone, or another technology
platform. Students will still need to submit an application for accommodation and
upload documentation as specified on the website. The office will be in touch with them to arrange a virtual Welcome (Intake) appointment.
- Students who have questions regarding accommodations and services, or questions in
general, can reach staff at accessibility@winthrop.edu and at OA_Team@winthrop.edu.
Staff Availability for Faculty and Staff
- Faculty and staff that have questions regarding accommodations and services, or questions
in general, can reach staff at accessibility@winthrop.edu and at OA_Team@winthrop.edu.
- If necessary. OA can explore options such as Zoom, phone, or other technology platforms
to arrange a virtual meeting.
