Do

  • Show a range of ages and backgrounds
  • Use warm, natural lighting
  • Evoke a sense of expressive action with candids balanced with authentic portraiture
  • Allow backgrounds and props to add contextual information about the subject’s passions

Don’t

  • Have staged or overly posed images
  • Use strong, artificial light
