Purpose of Organization: The purpose of the Student Alumni Council shall be to stimulate the interest and
participation of students in the progress of Winthrop University and to preserve and
further loyalty and fellowship between the institution, students, community, and alumni.
Description of Organization: Student Alumni Council (SAC) continues to be a major contributor to the Winthrop
community by upholding our most cherished traditions and engaging both students and
alumni in a variety of university activities. In addition to being "tradition keepers,"
Student Alumni Council members serve the University and community through a variety
of service projects.
Planned Projects/Events: Ghost Tours, Wednesdays at the Walk, Garnet & Gold Fridays
