Purpose of Organization: The purpose of this organization shall be to further music through performance in
various venues, such as community event or an international stage, using percussion
as a medium. Its members shall also use music to educate students in topics such as
history, culture, and creativity.
Organization Description: The goals of Winthrop Percussion Society are to: research, perform, and lean about
many different facets of percussion by attending masterclasses, Days of Percussion,
and conventions. This organization will also perform, and teach the community about
the history and culture of different genres of music using percussion as a medium.
