Purpose of Organization: The major purpose of this club is to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing
students at Winthrop by teaching hearing students about Deaf culture and American
Sign Language (ASL).
Description of Organization: The American Sign Language Club will be open to all students who are Deaf, know ASL,
or would like to learn ASL. It will bridege the gap between the Deaf and hearing by
teaching hearing students about Deaf culture and ASL.
Planned Projects/Events: Silent dinners, Deaf cultural events, ASL classes
