Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC)

Integrated Marketing Communication drives the marketing of products and services to consumers and business organizations. Advertising, public relations, promotions, and corporate communication thrive with the communication-marketing immersion. Our exclusive interdisciplinary program is a unique collaborative approach between the Department of Mass Communication andthe Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business Administration.

A Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) prepares students for competitive careers in advertising, public relations, promotions, and corporate communication.

Mass Communication

Mass Communication, grounded in the liberal arts, proves to interactively prepare leaders who communicate clearly, speak effectively, and think critically across multiple platforms to be competitive in the ever-changing digital arena. A converged curriculum offers exemplary training in writing, producing, and editing news for integrated media. Students will be challenged to think critically drawing on conceptual, historical, legal and ethical environments of the discipline.

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication may follow the prescribed curriculum to attract careers in media, or customize a program to best match areas of interest.

Digital Mass Media Track  

Digital Information majors, housed in the Department of Computer Science, are offered a concentration in Digital Mass Media to expand skill sets to include web design and web content management. This collaborative departmental partnership expands career opportunities in advertising and marketing industries.
