The Alumni Executive Board, composed of the officers of the Alumni Association, members-at-large and ex-officio, non-voting members, serves as the governing body of all Winthrop alumni and oversees the transaction of Alumni Association business. Officers fulfill a two-year term that begins July 1 and concludes June 30. The Alumni Executive Board president convenes the board for three meetings on campus per year. The constitution and bylaws of the Alumni Executive Board provides guidance on processes and compliance.

The following includes a minimum outline of the requirements of an Alumni Association Executive Board member:
Attend three annual board meetings on campus
Actively serve on a minimum of one board committee
Attend Winthrop events as an ambassador and representative for Winthrop and the Alumni Association
Make an annual gift to Winthrop in an amount that is meaningful to the board member
There are up to six seats available for the 2026-2029 Alumni Executive Board term. Applications for at-large members are currently being accepted through Tuesday, March 31. Board terms will begin on Wednesday, July 1. The Nominating Committee of the Alumni Executive Board will review all applications and select candidates.
