Each November, the Winthrop Alumni Association presents awards during the Alumni Reunion and Awards Luncheon, held during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, to alumni who have demonstrated Winthrop's tradition of excellence. The Honors and Awards Committee of the Alumni Executive Board reviews nominations and selects winners.
While social distancing guidelines and closures due to COVID-19 make connections among our alumni family challenging, Winthrop has rescheduled class reunion activities and events from Fall 2020 to Spring 2021 to help ensure we can safely gather and celebrate. This includes the Alumni Reunion and Awards Luncheon and Alumni Award recognition. A date has not been set for the Spring 2021 class reunion celebration and Alumni Award recognition and we hope to have that date set by the Fall.
Nominations for the 2020 Alumni Awards will be accepted through Friday, Jan. 29. The 2020 Alumni Award recipients will be honored in the Spring.
To nominate a Winthrop graduate for the Alumni Distinguished Service Award, Alumni Professional Achievement Award or the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, complete the Alumni Awards Nomination Form (below) for the award you would like to nominate for and submit to Lori Tuttle, executive director of alumni relations, at tuttlel@winthrop.edu
