What to Bring to Orientation

Eagles Landing Sessions
(in-person)

As a reminder, Eagles Landing is required for Freshman and an encouraged experience for Transfer students. Attendees should plan to bring:

  • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes
  • Umbrella or rain jacket, just in case
  • Pens/pencil and something to write on
  • Money for optional activities
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle

Fall Orientation
(Freshman Sessions 7 and 8 and Transfer Sessions F and G in mid-August)

Please note that residential students will move directly into their assigned residence hall room when they come to campus. Freshman commuter students will return to their off-campus residences at the end of the day on August 18 and return in the morning of August 19. Transfer commuter students will return to their off-campus residences at the end of the day on August 18, and return on August 19 if they are signed up for Eagles Landing. Attendees should plan to bring:

Spring Orientation
(November and January)

Spring Orientation is required for all new undergraduate students whose first semester at Winthrop will be the Spring semester. Attendees should plan to bring:

  • Unofficial copy of transcripts from previous institution
  • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes
  • Pens and pencils
  • Water bottle
  • Umbrella or rain jacket, just in case
  • Sunscreen
  • Jacket/coat
  • Money for optional activities
