Registration Information

How to Register for Orientation

Students

Students can register online. After you have successfully registered online, you will receive an email confirmation.
To change your Orientation session, go back to your confirmation email and click "Edit Registration" to reschedule. You will then receive an updated confirmation email. If you have questions or get stuck, please contact us at Orientation@winthrop.edu.

Families

When your student registers for Orientation, they can register any family members wishing to attend Family Orientation. If you need to add family members to your registration, your student will need to go back to their confirmation email and click "Edit Registration" to reschedule. All family members, regardless of age, who are planning to attend Family Orientation must be registered in the system.

Note: For some sessions, there may be an additional fee per family member due during the registration process.

Find more information about Family Orientation here.

Orientation Fees

More information coming soon.

Orientation Fee Refunds

Refunds will be given only to students and family members who cancel prior to the session date. Requests for refunds must be received in writing via email to the Office of New Student and Family Programs. If you wish to cancel your registration or no longer plan to attend Winthrop, please email NSFP at Orientation@winthrop.edu, and we will cancel your Orientation registration.

Please note: No refunds are issued for students who attend Orientation and then withdraw from Winthrop. In those cases, individuals are still held accountable for all Orientation fees.

International Students

International students should contact the International Center at 803/323-2133 regarding Orientation requirements and accommodations.

Students or Guests with Disabilities

To request accessibility accommodations for Orientation, please provide information about your needs through the Orientation Registration process, and we will work with you on your request. Please note that both Orientation and Family Orientation (when in-person) do involve a good bit of walking around campus. Winthrop University does not have wheelchairs, scooters, or other equipment available for rent, so please plan to bring or rent your own equipment for your visit, sufficient for your needs.
