The College of Business Administration is a member of the NABA, Charlotte Chapter.
The NABA moto is "Lifting As We Climb".
Nineteen College of Business Administration accounting students recently attended the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Southern Regional Student Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The students attended sessions on Resume Review/Interview, Career Planning, Branding, Robotic Process, and Leadership. They also attended a Career Expo where they interacted with recruiters from Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Wiley, Verizon, Synchrony, SunTrust, Spectrum, EY, JPMorgan, PwC, P&G, and Deloitte.
Based on the students applications and performance at the conference during their sessions, 6 Freshmen were offered interviews with Grant Thornton, Deloitte, and Verizon and 4 Sophomores were offered interviews with EY, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, Spectrum, PwC and Altria.
The students were led by Vanessa Valdez, Director of Graduate Student Services, and with her help the students won the Social Media Contest that included a cash price of $150.
