Starting in 2009, we opened Vivian M. Carroll Hall, a technologically sophisticated addition to our facility. This building houses the
impressive Carroll Capital Markets Training and Trading Center to support the study
of global capital markets. Other outstanding amenities are laboratories, wired classrooms,
group meeting rooms, and the Whitton Auditorium, which are all designed to provide
this generation of students with new learning opportunities. Across the curriculum,
students are engaged with outside clients working on real business problems, contributing
to research studies, working in internships, and participating in other field-based
learning experiences.
We are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the preeminent global business accreditation organization. We also have the approval
of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the top organization that accredits computer science programs, for our Computer
Science Major. In addition, we are also recognized by the Association of University Programs in Healthcare Administration, to which we are the only certified undergraduate healthcare management program in South Carolina. Our Economics Major is served by a fantastic group of professionals; Cybersecurity started in Fall 2021 and is the first stand-alone cybersecurity degree by a South
Carolina state-run university; Digital Information Design, is growing and providing an entree into innovative career paths; Applied Software Development creates a new opportunity for students looking to continue their higher education
post-Associate's in Applied Science in Computer Technology.
Our mission is to provide learning opportunities for students and to promote business
growth and economic development. We have attracted students and scholars from around
the world to join our programs that offer excellent classroom instruction and chances
to interact with practitioners in many disciplines, all in an environment with the
ideal blend of challenge and support. We combine students and faculty and staff and
practitioners into partnerships that execute our mission to learn and grow and ultimately
to develop each constituent into the best citizen and contributor to an organization
that he or she can possibly become.
Award winning faculty, world class facilities, and carefully planned curriculum provide
outstanding nationally accredited programs in a variety of specialty areas. The faculty
are dedicated to student learning and personal growth. We celebrate each other's accomplishments.
We set high expectations for our community, so we invite you to get involved in the
