The Department of Political Science and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies work together to offer a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education, leading to certification as a secondary school teacher of social studies. Students
desiring certification major in political science and minor in secondary education.
Dr. Margaret Gillikin serves as the faculty advisor for students who chose to become certified.
