The Alumni Executive Board, composed of the officers, members-at-large, and ex-officio, non-voting members, serves as the governing body of all Winthrop alumni and oversees the transaction of association business.
The I'm Ready alumni to student mentor program offers the opportunity for alumni to serve as mentors to current Winthrop students. I'm Ready creates lasting connections where alumni mentors offer valuable insights and career guidance, helping student mentees successfully navigate their academic and career paths.
The Alumni Association elects two alumni to serve on the Winthrop Board of Trustees, which has responsibility for the mission and long-term benefit of the university.
Alumni chapter leaders collaborate with the Alumni Association to plan activities and events for regional alumni chapters that create opportunities for alumni to network and socialize.
Class reunion volunteers serve as the primary liaisons between a class and the university. Reunion volunteers assist in planning reunion activities, recruiting class volunteers, encouraging participation among classmates in reunion events and communicating with classmates about the class gift.
The Young Alumni Council (YAC) strives to keep Graduates of the Last Decade connected to their alma mater and strengthen the relationship between Winthrop's campus and all young alumni. YAC leaders are involved with a variety of events and initiatives that promote philanthropy and networking, including the Day of Giving, Senior Week, and regional events.
