Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is the international honor society for accounting, finance, and information systems students. At Winthrop University, our chapter is dedicated to preparing students for successful careers while upholding our core values:

  • Build – We build connections with peers and professionals, fostering a supportive network that enhances academic, professional, and personal growth.
  • Aspire – We aspire to develop our professional skills through continuous learning, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Prosper – We strive to see our chapter, college, campus, and community prosper by making a meaningful and lasting impact.

Our chapter offers exclusive professional development events for members, including networking opportunities with industry leaders and leadership-focused workshops. We also host a select number of events that are open to all students in the College of Business and Technology, such as Meet the Firms, which connects students with employers and directly benefits the CBT community. Beyond professional development, we organize service projects and social activities that strengthen member relationships and extend our impact beyond the classroom.

To be eligible to pledge Beta Alpha Psi, students must be in an appropriate major, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have completed or be currently enrolled in a 300-level course related to their concentration. Active membership also requires engagement in professional, service, and chapter events.
