Paid Parental Leave (PPL)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Employed with the Winthrop University for at least 12 months.

  • Have worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period preceding request for FMLA leave.

Employee Procedure for Own Illness or to Care for a Family Member:

  • Request PPL by contacting the Human Resources office at (803) 323 -2273 or HRhelp@winthrop.edu. Or Submit FORM.

  • The required documents need to be supplied to HR within 30 days.

  • Completed PPL documents can be emailed to HRhelp@winthrop.edu or delivered to the Human Resources office in 303 Tillman Hall.
