About the College of Education

Who are we? We are the flagship teacher education program in South Carolina and the region. We are transforming teacher education through innovative clinical practice in partnership with schools and community organizations. We are making a difference! Just watch and listen here.

What do we offer? We also offer exceptional programs in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Human Development and Family Studies, and Sport Management through courses and internships relevant to today's workplaces. We offer dynamic graduate programs designed to meet 21st century challenges.

Additionally, The Richard W. Riley College of Education and degree programs within the college are accredited or nationally recognized.


Need Help?

In an effort to help College of Education faculty, staff, students, partners, and families, we are adding communication options. Our staff and graduate assistants will help find the information you need, whether that is answering your question or redirecting your request. Questions about courses, specific assignments, or clarifications on course related information should be sent directly to the instructor.

    Send general inquiries throughout the day to Our graduate assistants and staff are regularly monitoring this e-mail Monday to Friday. They will respond as soon as they have an answer. Provide as much information as you can to help ensure we understand your need or question.

    Our offices are open with partial staffing. Call the main College number (803/323-2151) if unsure who to contact. E-mail remains the best contact for faculty until we return to full capacity and normal opperations.
