Supporting the CDI & Your Student

Welcome, Eagle Families! The CDI staff is excited to work with your students as they progress through their Career Success Story at Winthrop University. You play a fundamental role in your student’s career development process. We invite you to get to know our office, the resources we have available, and learn more about where Winthrop students are going after graduation as you encourage your Eagle along their own path to success. We encourage you to explore the 'Current Students' section of our website to familiarize yourself with everything we offer!

HOW STUDENTS FIND JOBS

Support your student, but let them take the lead on their own career development!

How Your Employer Can Connect to Winthrop

Winthrop families, the CDI strives to build partnerships with employers to connect students to internships and part-time/full-time job opportunities. Help us build the bridge with your employer! We encourage you or your human resources team to visit our 'Employers and Partners' page to investigate the variety of ways to connect with our talented students.

Families at Winthrop

When families are engaged and informed, your student succeeds. With that, the Office of New Student & Family Programs provides many opportunities for families members to engage in the campus community, impact student life initiatives, receive information and resources, and play a leadership role at Winthrop.

There are two ways that you can help support Center for Career Development and Internships
and your student:

1) If your organization is hiring or looking for interns or volunteers, let us know! Visit our Employer & Community Partners section of the website for more information on how CDI can help your organization with filling part time, full time, internship or volunteer roles.

2) Participating in CDI events is a fulfilling way to support our programs and your student. There may be opportunities to participate as a guest speaker, mentor, informational interviewee, guest panelist, and many more! If you are interested in participating in a career event, please contact us.
