Part-Time Jobs

So being a full-time student doesn't pay as much as you would like, huh? Thinking about picking up a part-time job to help pay your bills or fund those late-night dinners?  CDI can help!  Call 803.323.2141 to schedule an appointment with a staff member who can assist you with searching and applying for part-time jobs.  No resume?  No problem.  We help first time resume writers — even if you have never worked before.

Federal Work Study Positions and On Campus Jobs

If you are looking on campus, be sure to check out the Human Resources page where departments post opportunities each semester. Here, you will find information on how to apply for a job on campus, including federal work study positions.

Additionally, CDI hires federal work study students each semester for a unique community service experience available through the Winthrop's Literacy Intervention Team. If you are interested in literacy tutoring an elementary aged student, please fill out the LIT Application and return to CDI in Crawford 129.  To learn more about the Literacy Intervention Team, visit the LIT Webpage

Off-Campus Jobs

CDI utilizes an online jobsite, EAGLElink, to post off-campus part and full time jobs. As a Winthrop student, you automatically have an account, but if you need help logging in or forgot your password, check out our EAGLElink Guide (pdf — 367 kb) for assistance.

DISCLAIMER:  Job Postings (Beware of Scams/Protect your safety)
Center for Career Development and Internships offers EAGLElink and the Opportunity List as a resource for employers and community partners to connect with WU students and alumni seeking volunteer experience, internships, part-time jobs, and full-time positions. Please note that the presence of job announcements on any website or listserv maintained by Center for Career Development and Internships does not indicate an endorsement or recommendation by Winthrop University or CDI. We are not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions or other aspects of off-campus employment.  We can't do a background check of every single posting - so make sure you spend time researching before you apply.

Scammers create positions that look legitimate; be smart and never make arrangements with an employer that involves you depositing/cashing checks or putting up your own money. If an employer EVER asks you to deposit money, send a check or buy something for them - this is a major red flag.Should an issue arise that you feel the CDI staff should be aware of, please contact us at 803/323-2141. Check out our Guide to Employer Research and Scams (pdf - 391 kb) to learn more.
