Career Coaching

  • Appointments are scheduled sessions with a career coach (30 to 60 minutes) to discuss topics such as exploring majors and careers, writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for an interview, building networking skills, research and applying to graduate school, and developing career readiness skills.
  • Drop-in hours are also available at designated times, no appointment needed!

Job & Internship Postings 

  • Several thousand employers recruit Winthrop students and alumni through the online platform Handshake. Apply to job and internship opportunities directly through the system. 
  • Biweekly newsletters are emailed to students, highlighting events, jobs and internships of particular interest to the Winthrop community.

Career Fairs & Networking Opportunities

  • Employers attend on-campus career fairs to recruit Winthrop students and alumni.
  • Networking events, including Mock Interviews and Industry MeetUps, provide students with an opportunity to interact with employers and learn about a variety of industries and organizations, as well as build the communication skills that are valued in the interviewing process.

  • Dress for success with free professional attire for career fairs, interviews, and networking events.
