Winthrop's annual Fall Career Fair brings together students, alumni, and employers for a morning of professional networking. This event is open to all majors and is an opportunity for students and alumni to learn about industries, career paths, and internship and employment opportunities with local, regional, and national organizations (see Employer List in Handshake).

    Student and alumni registration is in Handshake. Alumni can visit our Handshake page for instructions on how to log in.

    Time & Location

    The event is from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the West Center courts. Student and alumni check-in begins at 11 a.m.

    Dress Code

    Business casual or professional attire is required. Need something to wear?

    • Visit the Career Closet during our drop-in hours or schedule an appointment in Handshake.
    • Stop by during our Pop-Up Career Closet and Headshot event for FREE professional attire and a LinkedIn headshot: Tuesday, September 16 from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in DiGs 114.

    Resumes

    Students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes. Need some help with your resume?

      • Schedule a virtual or in-person appointment.
      • Upload your resume to Handshake for feedback.
      • Join us for our drop-in resume review events:
        • February 11, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in 114 DiGiorgio Campus Center
        • February 18, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Bookstore Commons, DiGiorgio Campus Center
    • Schedule a virtual or in-person appointment.
    • Upload your resume to Handshake for feedback (typical response time 3-4 buisiness days).
    • Stop by our Resume Review Pop-Up's:

      Parking

      Employer parking is available in Margaret Nance Parking Lot (see G on Campus Map) and in-between the West Center and McBryde Hall (see 14 and 15). Overflow parking is available in Johnson Parking Lot (see D) and Founders Parking Lot (gravel; see D). Visitor parking passes are not required for these designated areas.

      For employers who require assistance with heavy items, a designated drop-off area will be available in front of the West Center.

      Check-In

      Employer check-in begins at 10 a.m. in the West Center Lobby (see #15 on Campus Map). Event staff will direct employers to their tables upon arrival. Suggested items to bring:

      • Logoed tablecloth, posters and signage for table (6-foot table and standard garnet tablecloth will be provided)
      • Brochures/flyers/business cards 
      • QR code to job postings/instructions on how to apply (employers are encouraged to post their positions in Handshake prior to the event)
      • Promotional items/swag
