We proudly collaborate with over 100 community agencies each year to provide students with meaningful, real-world learning experiences through practicum placements.
To serve as a Practicum / Field Instructor, invididuals must hold a B.S.W. or M.S.W. from CSWE-accredited program and be at least two years post-graduation. Licensure is not required. While students may work with a task supervisor who holds a different degree, they must receive a minimum of one (1) hour of supervision per week from a qualified BSWM / MSW instructor. This supervision can be scheduled weekly or integrated into the workday as needed.

If you are a current Agency or Practicum / Field Instructor and have concerns regarding a student placed with your agency, please complete the Agency Report of Practicum / Field Concerns form. Once completed, submit the form to your assigned Winthrop Practicum / Field Faculty member for review and follow-up.
