The following instructions cover how to cast a variety of devices to the Newline Interactive Display.
Ensure you are connected to the “winthropsecure” wireless network.
Ensure the display is showing the WUCast Connection Screen by touching the WUCast button on the Extron Touch Panel.
Follow the instructions for your device down below.
Step 1: On any screen use the “Windows+K” buttons to search for wireless devices to connect to.
A side panel on the right will open and show available options.
Step 2: Select the appropriate display for example, “Kinard102-WUCast”.
Step 3: You will be prompted for a 4 digit PIN.
This PIN changes frequently so be sure to reference the current PIN which will be shown on the bottom of the WUCast supported display when in WUCast Mode.
Step 4: Enter the 4 digit PIN and click “Connect”.
Optional Step: Return to this screen using the toolbar created or “Windows+K” to change the projection mode from Duplicated to Extended depending on your use case.
Step 1: Open the “Control Center” from the menu bar.
Step 2: Select the “Screen Mirroring” icon.
Select the appropriate display for example, “Kinard102-WUCast”.
You will be prompted for a 4 digit PIN. This PIN changes frequently so be sure to reference the current PIN which will be shown on the bottom of the WUCast supported display when in WUCast Mode.
Optional: Return to this screen using the menu bar and “Screen Mirroring” icon to change the
projection mode from “Mirror Built-in Display” to “Use As Separate Display” depending
on your use case.
Step 1: Utilize the built in screen sharing features of your device.
For example, Samsung calls this “Smart View” and others may call it by their vendor specific names most often “Miracast”.
Step 2: You will be asked for the 4 digit PIN on the display.
Step 1: Open the “Control Center” which can be found in most recent OS versions by swiping down from the upper right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Select the “Screen Mirroring” icon.
Step 3: Select the appropriate display for example, “Kinard102-WUCast”.
Step 4: You will be prompted for a 4 digit PIN.
This PIN changes frequently so be sure to reference the current PIN which will be
shown on the bottom of the WUCast supported display when in WUCast Mode.
Built in mechanisms are preferred, particularly for ease of use. Still, you may choose to utilize the “Sharelink Pro” app made by “Extron Electronics” available from the Android Play Store, Apple App Store, and Microsoft Store.
