Faculty and Staff - February 11, 2021

Dear Colleagues:

You may have seen news reports of our state legislators considering moving teachers and higher education employees to Phase 1a of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution. As we watch how this develops, we need to be ready in case this measure becomes law, because if it does, there would be a very tight turnaround to then vaccinate teachers and school personnel.

We are, therefore, asking you to complete another short survey confirming your interest in receiving the vaccine if this measure becomes law. You will need to provide your first and last names and Winthrop email address and agree to this information being shared with our partners, the City of Rock Hill and Piedmont Medical Center.

If the law does pass, providing your information will enable registration for receipt of the Pfizer vaccine at the Rock Hill Community Clinic at the Galleria Mall once teacher eligibility begins. If you intend to seek the vaccine elsewhere, please do not complete this survey.

If you are 65 or older, you are eligible for the vaccine now and can register immediately either through the Rock Hill Community Clinic or through one of the other locations statewide that may be found here.

Please complete the survey by noon, Monday, February 15:

We had strong positive response on the last survey to determine interest. I hope you will act on this opportunity if you want to receive the vaccine through the Rock Hill Community Clinic. If you desire more information to help you determine interest in receiving the Pfizer vaccine, please see this page before you complete the survey.

Sincerely,
George
