Dear Friends:
I am happy to share with you the fall edition of the Winthrop Magazine. Each time I read one of these editions, I am impressed and proud of the content within it. As you’ll read about, our beautiful campus, programs, students, alumni, faculty and staff all make this place uniquely Winthrop.
After serving as president for five months, I’ve gotten the pleasure to know this university and its people even more than I thought possible, and I am honored to present to you some wonderful profiles and compelling features within this Winthrop Magazine.
In this magazine edition we highlight the university’s magnificent campus trees. As you know, we hear so much positive feedback from prospective students and their families, and our Winthrop family, on how our trees and campus beauty set us apart from others. This fall, in particular, I have enjoyed watching many of our trees transform into their vibrant colors. Other articles of interest include:
I encourage you to explore the magazine yourself and please share this edition with anyone who may be interested in what is happening at Winthrop.
Always an Eagle,
Edward A. Serna
