Dear Winthrop Community:
I am excited to share with you the spring Winthrop Magazine. And, let me just go ahead and state the obvious: yes, I was talked into being on the cover. It’s hard to refuse our communications and marketing team! I told Lauren and the girls, “Whatever it takes for Winthrop, right?”
Now to the good stuff – the content! In this edition you’ll find the response to our new branding—a resounding success! Folks packed Whitton Auditorium last month to hear about it, and the excitement was palpable. There’s also an article about the largest all-cash gift - $2.5 million - received in Winthrop’s history. The historic gift is in honor of former educator Virginia Collier ’30. I encourage you to read about how the gift will be used.
