Calling all Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students: Here’s your chance to team up, solve real-world business challenges, and stand out to future employers.
How can a natural gas company effectively promote its environmental benefits while addressing common misconceptions about natural gas?
Over the challenge period, your team will develop creative solutions to help York County Natural Gas Authority (YCNGA) enhance customer understanding, improve engagement, and position natural gas as a key player in a sustainable energy future. Your challenge is to create a strategy or campaign that combines education, innovation, and actionable steps to strengthen the company's connection with its community and customers.
In April 2025, eight Winthrop student teams presented their innovative solutions to a panel of five York County Natural Gas Authority (YCNGA) leaders. The panel selected the top three solutions to the EPIC challenge and the prizes were awarded by CEO and President Jimmy Sprouse. In addition to building workplace skills, the goal is for every learner who completes a challenge to receive a digital badge or credential aligned with America Succeeds’ Durable Skills Framework.
