Dr. Hongju Ren is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Winthrop University. Her research
and teaching focus on corporate finance, behavioral finance, and financial technology
(FinTech). Dr. Ren’s research has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance. Her working papers have been selected for presentation at leading U.S. finance conferences,
including the 2024 Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, where one
of her papers was a semi-finalist for the Best Paper Award in Asset Pricing & Investments,
and the 2025 American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting.
