Joanna R. Jackson is the Chair of the Management and Marketing Department, as well as an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management in the College of Business. She received a Ph.D. from Indiana University's Fairbanks School of Public Health in Health Policy & Management and an MS in Nursing with a concentration in Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to completing her doctorate, she worked as a Registered Nurse in opioid treatment programs and inpatient psychiatry for 10 years. Her research interest includes behavioral health services, substance use treatment, public health law, and the academic health science workforce. Joanna was awarded the 2020 Wells Fargo Excellence in Teaching and the 2021 Springs Industries Research award recipient.
