Dr. Tripp is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology at Winthrop. He received his Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in criminology from the University of Florida. Tripp has taught courses in "Introduction to Criminal Justice Systems," "Criminology," "Corrections," "Social Theory," "Principles of Sociology," "Marriage and the Family," "Sociology of Competitive Sports," "Sociology Senior Seminar," "Undergraduate Research in Sociology," and "The Human Experience: Who Am I?" His main areas of research are in the areas of corrections and desistance.
