Dr. Hayes completed his doctorate in experimental psychology with a focus on cognitive/applied cognitive psychology at Texas Tech University. He is particularly interested in reasoning, decision-making, and metacognition. While his recent research focuses on persuasion and decision-making, he also works with graduate students on applied research in K-12 education and with undergraduates on a wide range of psychology and interdisciplinary projects. He teaches General Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Cognition, Senior Seminar, Advanced Statistics, Entry to the Psychology Major, and Exit from the Psychology Major.
