    Join us in Tuttle for a social focused on philanthropy and community service. The recipients of the 2025-2026 Hope Reed Scholarships will be on hand to discuss the focus of their research and service-focused work more in depth.

    A professional photographer will be on-site to take complementary digital headshots to level up your professional profile. This is normally a $200 cost.

    We will also have staff from the Center for Career Development and Internships with a pop-up Career Closet! Borrow something to wear for your photo, or find pieces to wear on your next interview.

    The CDI helps students dress for success by providing access to professional attire for interviews, career fairs, networking events, and internships. Students can choose from our professional wardrobe items including suits, blazers, collared shirts, blouses, slacks, dresses, shoes, and ties.

    This event has been the pinnacle of our Graduate Student Appreciation Week for a number of years and it just keeps getting better. Sign-up now to compete for cash prizes, or join us for any of the events to vote and cheer on the participants. All are welcome!

    3-Minute Graduate Competition
    Thursday, April 9th, 6 p.m.

     

    These contests challenge graduate students to summarize their research within three minutes to a general audience. The University of Queensland developed the contest in 2008 to help graduate students improve their oral communication skills.

    *students are only permitted to participate in one session, either online or in-person, and your program modality does not affect which option you choose.


    Graduate Showcase Poster Session

    Thursday, April 9th, 5 - 6 p.m.

     

    This contest challenges graduate students to summarize their group research within the confines of a 30”x40” poster for presentation to a general audience.

    • Each day of participation enters you for a chance at a Graduate Studies hoodie.

    • Participate in all five days and get entered for a chance at a semester's worth of textbooks!
    • You must tag @winthropgradstudies in each post.

    • You must use #WinthropGSAW2025 and #winthropgradstudies in each post.

    • Please also mention which challenge day you are posting for so that we can track accurately.

    • Get bonus entries for the top prize liking or commenting on the challenge posts by @winthropgradstudies during that week.

    • One daily prize per student. All those who participate in all five days will be entered to win the top prize, regardless if they have already received one of the single daily raffles.
    • Winners will be announced the next morning...overall top prize winner announced Monday, April 14th.

The week seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact, and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States.
