Move-In Spring 2026
We hope you had an enjoyable winter break and are ready to be welcomed to campus.
The following is important information for those returning to campus or moving on
campus for the first time
Important Dates:
- December 15, 2025: Room Assignments go out
- January 5, 2026: Pre-Check In Process with details (including move-in time sign-up) made available
online
- January 8, 2026: New student and Transfer move-in between 10 AM and 3 PM
- January 10, 2026: Returning student move-in after 11 AM
- January 12, 2026, 8AM: First day of classes
Required: Pre-Check-In Process
Pre Check-In Procedures: Each resident must complete their Pre-Check In Process.
Please log into Wingspan go to Eaglesnest Housing and look for the Pre-Check-In Process
Top row, right side of the menu.
Below are the steps to complete the Pre-Check In Process:
- Room Key Acknowledgment
- RCR: Room Condition Report
- Emergency Contact Information
- Medical Form (This information is kept in the event of a medical emergency in the
residence hall.)
Check-In Dates:
- January 8, 2026: For students that need the required Orientation
- New incoming first year students that are registered for Orientation
- January 9, 2026: New to campus students will be permitted to move into the Residence Halls
- January 10, 2026: Returning students will be permitted to move into the Residence Halls
Proceed directly to your residence hall to recieve your key (new students and transfers
only) and move in.
New Students
- Detailed information about your arrival date can be found in your Pre Check-In Confirmation
e-mail.
- If you are planning to bring a car to campus, you will need to purchase a parking
permit from the Winthrop University Police Department. Additional details regarding
permit cost can be found by logging on to the online parking permit request page. For students, when a vehicle is registered with the Winthrop University Police Department,
the cost of the parking permit is automatically charged to your student account. Students
can pick up their parking pass at the Winthrop University Police Department when they
arrive on campus.
- It's never too early to begin the packing process. Start by knowing what you can bring to campus (PDF-502KB) this year in addition to what items are prohibited (PDF-406KB) in the residence halls.
- All residence halls have elevators except Margaret Nance and Roddey Halls. Residence
Life does have a limited number of moving bins; however, we recommend you bring a
handcart for your move-in if you own one.

when they arrive on campus
- What to Bring/What Not to Bring - It's never too early to begin the packing process. Start by knowing what you can bring to campus (PDF-502K) this year in addition to looking through our FAQ.
- Residence Life has a limited number of moving bins; however, we recommend you bring
a handcart for your move-in if you own one. Not all residence halls have elevators
and their availability cannot be guaranteed on move-in day.
