As a proud alumnus, I can speak from experience that Winthrop is a special place and that my time here transformed my life.
Now into my fourth year as president, I am proud of all we accomplished together in the last three years and look with anticipation to that momentum driving us forward as we accelerate on transformative initiatives currently underway to shape our future.
Thanks to our Board of Trustees, cabinet members and the efforts of folks all across campus, we have officially closed out phase I of our strategic plan, Winthrop: United in Excellence. We launched the Honors College; introduced a new suite of academic programs, including our first doctoral program; delivered course work through the innovative, Competency-based Education initiative Winthrop Elevate; invested $35 million into our campus facilities; achieved signicant enrollment growth over the last two years; and so much more. Now, we are focusing on phase II initiatives. We’ve made tremendous progress, and there is more to come.
