                                        Floyd College Readiness Program

Training Requirements

CRL training will be conducted through a required one-credit hour course, LEAD 120: Theory and Practice of Mentor Leadership: Floyd College Readiness Leaders. This course will require the CRLs-in-training to spend time in the assigned school observing in the high school’s college readiness classes, meeting high school students/mentees, and designing lessons and activities that support the high school’s college readiness course goals—all part of the CRL training. Students must pass the course with a B- or better to serve as a CRL.

For the 2021-2022 cohort, Floyd CRL Training and the LEAD 120 course will be held on a schedule which is conducive to CRL and the director's availability. School visits are tentatively planned for Fridays in the spring 2022 semester.
