Mission Statement

The mission of the Winthrop University Center for the Enviornment is to prepare the next generation of leaders to tackle our most pressing local and global environmental issues by: 

• Fostering connections among faculty, staff, and students across campus to support teaching, research, and campus operations that build capacity for sustainable change locally and globally. 

• Cultivating relationships between Winthrop and the local community to develop academic and career pathways that have a positive impact on our world.
