In our collaborative, interdisciplinary Environmental Programs, students work alongside faculty to explore how natural systems shape the Earth and intersect with human societies, both locally in the Carolinas and across the globe. Through hands-on research, internships, fieldwork, and experiential projects, students gain practical skills while addressing pressing environmental challenges. Faculty mentorship guides students in developing innovative solutions, connecting scientific understanding with social, cultural, and policy perspectives, and preparing graduates to make meaningful contributions to a sustainable and resilient future.
