The professional staff creates engaging editorial content for the university's premier printed and online publications such as the Winthrop Magazine.

In addition, the department also writes press releases for an array of university events and happenings, maintains Winthrop's social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, fields requests from members of the media, provides limited photography services, manages the university's digital photography and video archives, and assists with publicity efforts for special events and projects.
