TRiO Achievers Program

Fall 2020 Applicants

Due to COVID-19, the TRiO Achievers Program will be conducing fall student recruitment differently this year.  June Open House information sessions will be hosted virtually and applications will be completed in PDF format and returned via email.

While we won’t be in our offices, we are here to answer any questions you may have. Please email us at mitrovichm@winthrop.edu

  2. Join us for one of our Zoom Open House sessions. Learn more about the program, meet our staff, and interact with some of our students. We will be hosting 4 sessions during June:
  3. Complete a TRiO 2020 application. Please be sure to read the instructions for completion!
  1. Applicants will hear about acceptance the week of July 20th!

 

About the Program

The TRiO Achievers Program at Winthrop University is one of over 1,000 Student Support Services programs on college campuses nationwide. TRiO is an academic support program designed to increase the academic performance, retention rates, and graduation rates of program members.

The TRiO Achievers Program promotes academic excellence and gives members the tools necessary to get the most out of their undergraduate education to graduate and seek employment and/or attend graduate or professional school.

The TRiO Program at Winthrop University is funded by the US Department of Education to serve 160 participants at $265,802 annually with an institutional contribution of $82,037.
