Winthrop's Master of Business Administration degree provides a well-rounded business education that will help you advance your career. Our students find professional development and learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom.  The MBA lecture, financial markets seminar, international field experiences, and field-based learning projects allow students to translate classroom lessons into business solutions.

      Curriculum (MBA)

      The MBA-Finance concentration provides students with more in-depth study of financial topics than the general MBA. Students choosing this concentration tend to work in or aspire to work in the financial industry. 


      Time to completion: 1.5 - 2 years
      Total Credits: 36
      Format: Campus-based
      Curriculum (MBA - Finance)

      Students selecting this concentration often have a management background or an undergraduate degree in HR, management, or general business administration. 

      Graduates from this program are well suited to become managers of human resources departments or advance their HR management careers.


      Time to completion: 1.5 - 2 years
      Total Credits: 36
      Format: Campus-based
      Curriculum (MBA - Human Resources Management)

      This option is intended for well-qualified students in the Winthrop BS in Business Administration program who will complete up to 9 hours of the work for the MBA while enrolled in the undergraduate degree program.

      Accelerated MBA concentrations include:

      • Finance
      • Human Resource Management

      Time to completion: 2 years
      Total Credits: 36
      Format: Campus-based
      Eligibility: Current Winthrop students in the BS in Business Administration program only
      Curriculum (Accelerated MBA program)

      Winthrop University’s online MBA program feature the same curricula and are taught by many of the same faculty as our on-campus programs. You benefit from the flexibility and convenience of being able to access your courses from any device.

      100% Online Tracks include:

      Graduate Certificate in Management: No deadline, rolling admission

      International Applications: July 15 for fall admission, December 1 for spring admission, May 15 for summer

        • Official transcript(s) from all institutions attended for undergraduate and graduate coursework.
          • Note: Transcripts must be sent directly to Winthrop's Graduate Studies office from the issuing institution(s).
        • GRE/GMAT test scores.

        Application requirements for the Management Certificate program include:

        • The online Graduate Studies application and non-refundable application fee.
        • Official transcript(s) from all institutions attended for undergraduate and graduate coursework.
