Academic deans will present the candidates for graduate degrees from their respective college to the Provost. Once degrees are conferred, Marshals will then direct the movement of master's degree candidates to the stage. Graduates will approach the stage in a socially distanced line. Graduates will give their name cards to the reader when they reach the top of the ramp leading onto the stage. When their name is announced, they will cross the stage.

Due to health and safety concerns, facial masks must remain on at all times.

Once the commencement ceremony has finished, all degree candidates and guests will be directed to move outside.  Degree candidates should make arrangements with guests to meet in a designated area OUTSIDE after the ceremony.  No group gatherings inside the coliseum and no pictures near the stage area will be permitted after the ceremony.

Balloons and balloon bouquets are not allowed in the arena as they may obstruct the view of other guests. Consider leaving these items in your car or having a member of your party wait outside until the ceremony concludes.

Family and guests of the degree candidates should enter the Coliseum through the upper concourse level. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and guests should be seated by 10:45 a.m.

For information on the Rock Hill area, including a list of local accommodations, check out the Winthrop Visitors' Center. Please allow yourself plenty of extra travel time as traffic will be heavy in the area and near I-77.

Professional photographers will take TWO pictures during the Commencement Ceremony.  Each degree candidate will have one photograph taken with the President and one after crossing the stage with a green screen. Due to health and safety concerns, facial masks must remain on at all times.

Graduates will be contacted after graduation regarding the sale of the photos.

Guests may take their own photos and videos of the ceremony but shall not block the aisles or the view of other guests. No group gatherings inside the coliseum for pictures, or pictures near the stage area will be permitted.

If you or your guest(s) require an auxiliary aid or service identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act, these individuals should plan to arrive prior to 10:30 a.m. for the ceremonies.  Please enter the Coliseum through the upper concourse level.

A sign language interpreter will be at the ceremony.
