Dr. Caleb Chandler joined Winthrop's College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences as an Assistant Professor of Education, teaching courses on culturally-sustaining pedagogies, critical literacies, and middle and secondary English education. He also serves as Winthrop's Director of Teaching Fellows.
Broadly, Dr. Chandler's research explores how students and teachers make sense of themselves as discursive subjects in educational spaces. More specifically, his research interests include youth studies, adolescent literacies, young adult literature, gender and sexuality, and qualitative methodologies.
Outside of work, Dr. Chandler enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and traveling. He's always in the process of planning the next vacation!
