A required blackboard course to ensure you know what it means to be on academic probation, the requirements that result from academic probation, what is needed to get back into good academic standing, how academic suspension works, what leads to academic suspension and resources that you can utilize to help promote your academic success. Every semester you are on academic probation, you must complete this course! You can find this course on your blackboard under the "organizations" tab. The module consists of a video, contract and success quiz. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you cannot locate the organization, please contact the Academic Success Center as soon as possible. Each semester, Serious about Success is due the Friday of the first week of classes. If the module is not completed by this time, a hold will be placed on your account.
A required program for all freshmen probation students. In this program, students will meet weekly with a peer coach in a one-on-one setting throughout the semester. In these sessions, students cover academic skills such as time management, study strategies and motivation techniques.
