Winthrop University participated in the national Voter Friendly Campus initiative that helped to bolster efforts to educate and encourage students to fully participate in the American political process as an expression "of the people, by the people, and for the people."

Voter Friendly Campus Distinction

Winthrop Decision 2016 was a campus-wide movement to register, educate and encourage students to vote leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election. The goal was not only to get Winthrop students to the polls in November, but to earn Voter Friendly Campus designation based on our efforts.  Using the hashtag: #WUDecide, students, faculty, and staff shared their voting and political experiences with us!
