Parent Resources

Using VA benefits for the first time at a new school can be challenging. The following resources give parents and other sponsoring veterans of first-time college students tips and information to use during their first semester using dependent VA education benefits at Winthrop. While the goal is for students to take full responsibility for their benefit, learning how the VA benefits process works can take a semester or two while students are adjusting to a new academic and social culture. We look forward to working with parents and other sponsoring veterans to support and encourage new students using dependent VA benefits for the first time.
