Welcome to Winthrop University! Every student's path to Winthrop is unique, and we're glad you found your way to our campus. The Center for Advising and Transfer Success (C.A.T.S.) provides a variety of programs to assist undeclared students and transfer students to successfully find their place at Winthrop University and supports students through their journey during college.

Our staff is available to provide:

  • Academic advising for all undeclared students.
  • Student services for the Office of Student Success.
  • Ways to get connected and involved on-campus.
  • Personalized one-on-one sessions related to academic planning and skills, interim grades, and personal issues.
  • Referrals to multiple on-campus and off-campus resources.
  • Connections to Transfer Fellow Leaders who are available to answer questions and provide support through outreach.
  • Events tailored to transfer students and undeclared students.
  • Information about virtual and in-person transfer orientation sessions.
  • Follow-up support for interactions with Big Stuff text messages.
  • Assistance with registration for Senior Citizen students.
