Academic Coaching

The Academic Coaching program offers Winthrop University students the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to be academically successful. Students meet one-on-one with the Academic Coach to enhance their academic skills, increase their confidence, and work towards their goals. Appointments can last from 30-60 minutes, and they can be either a one-time appointment or reoccurring.

Working with our Academic Coach is a fantastic way to develop your academic skills and navigate college.  Academic coaching can help you figure out how to better manage your time, take notes, set goals, develop study skills, etc.

This service is great if you have ever felt like:

  • I do not know how to properly study.
  • I get really anxious before a test.
  • I can't figure out where my time goes during the week.
  • I feel overwhelmed by all the classes and extra-curricular activities I have on your plate.

Academic coaching provides both support and accountability through scheduled meetings.

Contact the ASC main office or visit this link to schedule an appointment:

For the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester, academic coaching appointments will be held virtually. In response to our new remote landscape, appointments can be conducted via email communication or Zoom (a web-based video conferencing system).
