Academic Coaching 

The Academic Coaching program offers Winthrop University students the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to be academically successful. Students meet one-on-one with the Academic Coach to enhance their academic skills, increase their confidence, and work towards their goals.

During the session, the Academic Coach will help the student create a personalized Success Plan.  Each Success Plan is based on the individual needs of the student. These 30-60 minute sessions are usually scheduled bi-weekly or monthly.  The Academic Success Center also offers the A.C.E.   • Creating short term and long term goals
  • Improving time management
  • Strategies to improve GPA
  • Identifying a student's learning style
  • Improving study skills
  • Exam preparation
