Why did you choose to apply for the Close Scholars Program?

I chose to apply for the Close Scholars program because helping those around me has always been a part of me that I barely got to explore since I grew up in a small town. Close Scholars gives me the opportunity to give my time to the community so that I could help others.

Why is being a servant leader important to you, and why should it be important to others?

Being a servant leader is important to me because my ultimate goal is to help people around me. Whether it is to help with personal growth, offer emotional, mental or physical support, or offer food when the day is over. If everyone in the world tried to serve, we would see a lot less torment and crimes as a result of anger.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I seemyself with my Master's degree teaching at a high school as a biology teacher and encouraging my students to do the best they can so they can improve themselves, each other, and the community.

What is your favorite thing to do on campus and surrounding areas?

My favorite thing to do is to walk around campus and volunteer at The Shelter.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why?

I love traveling to Universal; it is such a fun place and when I am with my family, we have even more fun. My sisters and mother would get so excited, and it makes me excited to be with them in such a great place.

A fun fact about me.

My sisters, my mother and I all have first names that what with K, end with A and have 3 syllables.
